The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration has announced nearly $5 million in recent grant awards to eight tribal governments as part of the Coronavirus Relief and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act.
The funds will be used to support transit operations curing the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the tribes to receive the funds are the Navajo Nation. One and a half million dollars in CARES funds will be used to support transit within the Arizona portion of the Reservation and
